Difficulties in the connection process of titanium pipe fittings!

The non flared connection technology of titanium pipe fittings is one of the main ways to connect engine pipelines in the future. It is a new technology introduced from abroad, with high sealing performance, light weight, shockproof self-locking, no need for insurance, and convenient maintenance. It has been widely adopted in domestic aircraft manufacturing and is a mature and reliable technology. The principle of self sealing that the higher the pressure, the better the sealing is, is used to solve the strength sealing problem of high-pressure conduits by squeezing non expanding conduits. However, the quality control of the non flaring coupling forming technology is the key to ensuring the quality of conduit forming, and titanium rod manufacturers have basically mastered this technology after extensive testing.

Analysis of the Difficulties in the Forming Technology of Titanium Pipe fittings without Flaring The principle of extrusion tube forming is to use pre installed equipment to compress the inner wall of the tube within a certain range using the expansion force of the rubber sleeve compression, tightly pressing the tube wall into the two circular grooves of the tube sleeve, and combining it into a whole to achieve the purpose of sealing the tube and the tube sleeve. The control of groove depth after pre installation and bulging of the conduit is an important factor in ensuring the quality of the combined conduit. There are many factors that affect the quality of pre installed groove depth of conduits, mainly in the following three aspects.

(1) The diameter and wall thickness tolerances of domestic conduit raw materials are too large, and the wall thickness is uneven, which will affect the fit size gap of pre installed auxiliary components. In addition, the selection of auxiliary component materials will directly affect the groove depth size.

(2) The forming process and forming pressure also have a significant impact on the groove depth.

(3) The rationality of measurement tools and measurement methods are also related to the accuracy of groove depth measurement.
